Why does my 40% silver Kennedy half dollar pass the test as a 1/4 oz Maple Leaf?

Different coins may produce similar sounds. However, when the coins have the same weight and size but are made of different materials, they will always produce different sounds. To get accurate test results, make sure you enter the correct coin type and real parameters into the app.

I pinged a ring and it got 3 stars. Why?

Many objects can produce sounds similar to coins. The app does not identify whether a sound came from a coin or something else. Instead, it analyzes whether, given the object's weight and size, the sound is consistent with a silver or gold coin. This helps determine if the coin is made of silver or gold.
